If you use Firefox or Chrome, ad-blocker extensions don’t always automatically function in incognito or private mode. In this case, you can manually enable the setting. If you wish to make Bye Bye Ads functional while browsing the Internet in incognito or private mode, here are the steps you will need to follow:

If Google Chrome is your default browser:

  • Select the address bar and type in “chrome://extensions
  • Under the list of extensions, find Bye Bye Ads, and then click on “Details
  • Scroll down the page and select the toggle button next to “Allow in incognito

If you use Firefox as your default browser:

  • Select the address bar and type in “about:add-ons
  • Scroll through the list and look for Bye Bye Ads. Once you find it, move the cursor toward the three dots near it, click it, and then select “Manage
  • Scroll down the page and select “Run in Private Windows” before clicking “Allow
